I am a Production Sound Mixer with over 17 years of experience on a wide range of projects –
Features, TV Series, Commercials, Documentaries, Shorts & Music Recording – in India & Canada.
First They Killed My Father, Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Jobs and The Reluctant Fundamentalist are some of the films for which I have recorded sync sound.
I studied sound at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Here, I had the opportunity to watch cinema from across the world, understand & appreciate the importance of sound in film and learn its many technical and aesthetic aspects.
After graduating from film school in 2006, I assisted eminent sound mixers – Resul Pookutty on Slumdog Millionaire & The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Drew Kunin on Eat Pray Love & Life of Pi. These projects set my standards very high and helped me learn the technical protocols and work ethic of Hollywood.
I am a member of The International Association of Women in Radio & Television (IAWRT) and SoundGirls. In 2019, I was selected to attend the Berlinale Talents Sound Studio Program at the Berlin International Film Festival. I was part of the IATSE 873 showcase at the Durham College Film and TV Industry Career Fair, 2023 and have also conducted sound workshops at the 14th Asian Women’s Film Festival, 2018.
I am currently based in Toronto and am a Sound Mixer member of the IATSE Local 873.
